Ongoing Mission opportunities:

Calvary Food Pantry-throughout the week and on Sundays we are always collecting food items for the local pantry.  Please place your items in the grocery cart in the narthex (space before entering the sanctuary) or see Geri in the church office. 

Mission Box- each month we choose a specific mission to support through monetary donations.  

Soup Kitchen- on the third Saturday of the month our church works at the local Soup Kitchen from 9am-1pm @ SS.Peter and John Episcopal Church.  We prepare and serve the meal as well as help to clean up.  

Special Offering Sundays- the United Methodist Church has several opportunities throughout the year where we can give to help be in mission all over the world.  

Red Bird Mission- we are always collecting Campbell's Soup Labels to help support the Red Bird Missionary Conference in KY.  The more labels we can collect to more supplies Red Bird can purchase to help the rural poor in Appalachia.  The box is located near the bulletin board near the fellowship hall.  See their website for more information http://www.rbmission.org/

Special Mission opportunites:

Bibles for Inmates- thanks to the generosity of so many people we were able to puchase several cases of bibles for the area prison.  This will help those who minister to the inmates to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Mission Trips-whether we are leading one or supporting someone going on one we realize the importance to put our faith into action.  Members have gone to Mississippi to help rebuild after Katrina.  We are helping support an area church as they prepare to go to the Dominical Republic.  Our youth group is also planning a mission trip to help build a house in Ohio.
